The next meeting in the series of Conferences on The Inspiration of Astronomical Phenomena will take place in 2020:
Date: Monday 22 June 2020 to Friday 26 June (welcome reception, evening of 21 June)
Place: Cahill Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics on the Caltech campus
Conference theme: Cosmic Explorations: at the Intersection of Science, Space, Art, and Culture
Additional Venues: During the week of the conference, half day sessions and a longer excursion will be arranged to special places of astronomical interest.
Details of the conference series, its committees, previous events and publications are to be found on this website. As at previous meetings, the eleventh conference will explore humanity’s fascination with the sky, which has been a strong and often dominant element in human life and culture. It will provide a meeting place for academics, practitioners and artists from a range of disciplines to present and discuss their work and the cultural impact of astronomical phenomena.
The timetable, call for papers and details about the venue, programme, keynote speakers, excursions, accommodation and conference fee will be announced soon. Instructions for registration and submission of abstracts (for oral presentations, posters and artworks) will be via a dedicated INSAPXI website, open soon.
